· National Maritime Museum, Greenwich, England. Home page to the largest maritime museum in the world, with a very nice comprehensive site of images and related histories covered within. Special exhibits and features electronically available. Massive searchable database.

· Newport Harbor Nautical Museum. Our local museum base on the paddle wheeler Ruben E. Lee, with an expansive ship model collection, and an eclectic array of exhibits and shows, driven by curator Marcus De Chevrieux.

· San Diego Maritime Museum. Our southern neighbor, the museum has six museum ships included in its offering, including the replica of a British Royal Navy Frigate that served as H.M.S. SURPRISE, recently featured in the Russell Crowe vehicle, "Master & Commander" from the Patrick O'Brien books.

· Mystic Seaport Museum. Recreation of the American whaling town, with top-end bookstore, gallery and museum collection. Home of the CHARLES MORGAN, last wooden whaler afloat.

· New Bedford Whaling Museum. Premier collection of American whaling items. Recently formally combined with the Kendall Whaling Museum Collections.

· The Mariners' Museum, Newport News, Virginia. One of the largest collections in the world, with a wide spectrum of subjects, all maritime. Extensive collecton of materials relating to the American Civil War.
